Our Mission
Printage was created to help people reconnect with tangible photo prints and focus on what is truly important to us.
We believe people have taken photography for granted with the advancement of technology. In a society with saturated social media platforms and smartphones, printed photos have been rendered obsolete. Thus, memories are often left to perish and forgotten. Now, physical prints have a certain magnitude to them; they bring photographs to life. With tangible prints, another sense has awakened: the sense of touch. Equipped with this knowledge we believe we can alter the course of humanity itself. We may begin to understand ourselves, each other, and our surroundings in different and meaningful ways.
Founding Story
Founder Bruce Tsai is an image processing engineer and has been in the industry for over two decades. He decided to quit his job to fully focus on Printage, a mobile app side project he had started while working as an engineer.
Printage began with the intention of creating a solution for users to print images from their smartphones; hence the name, print-age. In creating the app, it became clear that the app’s core value was as important as what quality paper and the process in which photos were made.
“Viewing images on a screen is one thing but physically holding a photograph is a gratifying experience,” Bruce recalls, “Photography was invented to turn moments and memories into pieces of happiness that people can hold onto forever.”
Not long after that realization, he added various distinctive features that no other apps offer: built-in AI digital image processing, voguish backgrounds, and custom fonts. This set the precedent for how Printage would design and manufacture their products moving forward.
More than anything, Bruce was looking to build a company that would allow him and his team members to live their dream. He wanted to make that happen by creating a company that aligned with his personal values and the hope of leaving a lasting positive impact on the world.

As our product and service range grew, so did the family that worked to bring it to life. Today, our Printage family is consist of diverse talents: graphic designers, photographers, engineers, regular folks, and creators.
